trípode: Just an idea from the space age

As a designer you can’t help but some ideas or shapes stuck in your head. This one in particular has been in my head for some time after seeing a space age architectural design that sparked this idea. Currently I am working on a whole family of furniture but this concept will be the first of many to come with multiple uses. Making the best of this chaotic 2020.

Making it your own: Custom vinyl for some custom scooters

The same customer who couldn’t live without his tunes on his scooters couldn’t resist going a bit further to make his scooters his own. We settled on matching color vinyl decals for his 3 personal scooters along with designs reflecting his personal initials/logo as well as some for his television character. Needless to say he was very happy with how they turned out.

Icosa Tables: A pivot on an old idea

A simple adaption of the Icosa lamp yields a great pivot on the idea. The simple addition of a tempered glass table top or any other table top material gets a cool result. Cast aluminum joint pieces and with aluminum tubing struts, powder coated to any desired finish.

Stools: he just had to have them

Working with a a furniture restoration business, I was contacted to look into the possibility of replicating a set of vintage bar stools for a certain Marvel Avenger who just had to have them in his home. With a quick overall height dimension and a cell phone picture

I got to work on a variety of 3D models for the customer to approve of. Working with an old acquaintance/fabricator we took the approved and improved over the original design to a reality. With a custom pink powder coat finish, via my old shop and the restorer’s vinyl strapping craftsmanship, we were able to achieve the goal: customer satisfaction.
